Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Having been to several interior design firms for consultations, I despaired at being able to find one that understood what I wanted for my new home so it was with much trepidation that I met up with Jolyn for a preliminary discussion. That I decided to engage her from the get-go is a testament to her bold vision and attention to detail. We were particularly concerned about space constraints, as we wanted to retain an open and airy feel to the apartment without compromising on storage space. Throughout the iterative design process, Jolyn went the extra mile by anticipating my family’s needs and suggesting certain useful features that we did not even know we needed. As such, the resulting blueprint was one that incorporated both form and function; the design took full advantage of our higher-than-normal ceiling height and provided for plenty of hidden storage, while managing to give an illusion of more space. When there were certain aspects that did not adhere to the design brief, she moved swiftly to rectify them to our satisfaction. I am pleased to say that my earlier concerns that she lacked experience were wholly unfounded; what she may lack in this aspect she more than makes up for with her acumen, hard work and meticulousness. With this, I would like to thank Jolyn and Weda StudioInc for helping me to realise my vision, and creating an aesthetically pleasing yet functional living space that I am proud to call home.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not be afraid to redo certain parts of the house, especially if the finished product is not what you had envisioned. It is also a good idea to be extremely involved in each part of the design process, so that your interior designer has a clearer idea of the type of living space you want.

My ID Jolyn is Creative yet practical. She listen to our needs & wants & incorporate it into design with flair. She is committed, pay attention to the details, close follow through.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Commitment & follow through from IDs. Balance creativity with practical design Always ask for reference, past projects which you can check out the workmanship

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, Wilson from WEDA is very responsive to our requests and he will propose alternatives for us to compare before making any decisions. Workmanship is above average and his team of sub contractors are also committed to rectify the defects after the whole renovations.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Look around for design ideas that you like and as long as you feel comfortable it is worth the effort. Once you have the design concept, everything else will fall in place.
