She understand and will propose alternative to take note of any budget constraints that you may have. No reno is without hiccups and 1 of the contractor's professionalism could be improved but everything is eventually resolved nicely. My wife and I were looking for an ID that would not only accomodate to our budget, but also be able to bring out the idea and have it baby safe. Engaging Jaren as our ID was the BEST decision we made. We finally settled down with Jaren from Alchemist Design after 5 IDs. 1st impression, she was really friendly, sincere and really patient in listening to what we want in our house. Jaren also suggested ideas trying her best to complement our wants instead of changing it away totally. In the process of renovation, she was really accommodating and easy to work with. We chanced upon The Alchemist while surveying for an ID for our resale flat. And were assigned Elly on our first meeting and it was pretty smooth sailing from then on! One of the our most important factor was the budget and Elly managed to keep it within our limits but also made sure that our needs were met! She would also have suggestions/alternatives when we faced any difficulties eg; the boxing up of certain parts of the house. What attracted us to them is their many reviews on honesty, no over-promising, not pushy. They listen to your ideas while giving suggestions and alternatives where needed. When my husband and I went around looking to hire an ID, we ended up speaking to at least 5-7 different ones but Elly from Alchemist Design certainly left a very good and lasting impression on us. We don’t have much renovation experiences before so my family and I was not very certain and confident in finding an ID for our new home. We have also heard a lot of horror renovation stories online and from our relatives. We reached out to multiple IDs but chose Alchemists Design and our ID Grace in the end as she made us feel the most comfortable throughout the whole process. From planning to the execution of the house, it was very smooth and we knew we were in good hands as Grace is very attentive to details and the best part is she is not pushy and always try her best to find ways to help us save on the cost or advice us to find alternative ways to remove unnecessary cost. However no renovation is perfect but Grace is always there and resolves issue very quickly which we are very pleased and grateful. So to my fellow new home owners who are feeling the same way as I did initially. Despite not having much experience in this field, my ID Jaren was someone who listens, understands and strives to offer practical solutions. My wife and I actually went through a lot of ID before meeting with Haryati (FYI, she's our 15th ID), throughout our appointment with her, she wasn't pushy and provided so much idea's despite being aware that we were also meeting other ID's and getting others quotations. But what made us decided on engaging with The Alchemists Design because my wife and I was very comfortable with her from our first appointment and she was the only one that understood what we actually wanted to go for. Throughout the renovation, she continuously updated us and also helped us with choosing what furniture goes well and lighting fitments, etc. Not only that, the timeline was on track despite the hiccups (wasn't her fault, anyway) but we felt very assured and calm throughout the entire process, thanks to her. I am very glad I chose The Alchemist Design as my ID after speaking to alot of different IDs. My ID is Jaren and Jasmine. The renovation went on very smoothly, and in fact they were ahead of schedule despite it being the period after CNY and many contractors were still on leave. My renovation (for new bto) were completed within 6 weeks. Jaren is very responsive to our requirements and kept us updated on the renovation progress. She is happy to accommodate to our requests and the renovation workmanship is definitely good. When rectification is required, Jaren will not hesitate to arrange for the contractors to come down to the house to rectify. After meeting with several IDs, we decided to choose Ivonne from Alchemist Design. One big positive about her, is that she is very responsive to our messages and requests. She is also very flexible, we can swap items along the way when the renovation starts. She is also managed to fit our very tight timeline, and we can move in on time! Jasmine Toh was one of the first IDs we met, and after speaking with about 9 more IDs, we circled back to her because of how approachable and transparent she was. She provided good alternatives after hearing about our budget constraints, putting our interests first over a higher sales figure. During the renovation process, there were two things which was especially evident about Jasmine - she was very responsive and prompt. At first, my husband and I were quite hesitant about engaging an ID as oppose to direct contractors. However, after comparing a few quotes, we realized that The Alchemist Design's quote was quite comparable to the rest. We were enticed by their resale package which covered almost everything we needed, plus freebies. Even after adding some other parts, we did not blow our budget. Our designer, Fai, understood our financial constraints and what we wanted in our house. We were quite mindful of where we splurged and where we saved, and Fai was able to advice us accordingly. We were really lucky Jasmine was the assigned Designer and straight after the first meetup with her, my husband and I wasted no time deciding to go ahead to engage Jasmine as our appointed designer for our wonderful home. We consulted with The Alchemist Design back in May 2021 where we met Sophia, and they were the first stop of our hunt for an ID. We had some initial ideas we had in mind but Sophia was very realistic in letting us know what can be done and what can't be done for our 5 room resale flat, and after some time, we decided to sign the contract, with Sophia being our ID that is in charge. Our renovation commenced in September 2021 and prior and throughout our renovation journey, Sophia was very responsive in answering our queries and coordinating with the contractors & suppliers for our home. No matter the time or day, she is always contactable and that is something i really appreciated as it shows her dedication and commitment to getting things done. Besides her project management skills, Sophia is also a secret "handy-man". She has taken the effort to help rectify/fix minor works required herself with her vast knowledge of how things work. All in all, 2 months later, our renovation for our home was finally completed in November 2021. Although there were slight hiccups coming from the suppliers / contractor's end due to the Covid situation, Sophia made sure that everything was done and settled as efficiently as possible and i am glad that i found an ID that went an extra mile in getting things done for us. A plus point is that the price that alchemist design quoted us was very reasonable in comparison with the market as well. Definitely recommend Alchemist Design to all upcoming home owners!

We sold our punggol house in June and we need to handover by end of August. Just like any other home owners, we go for ID hunting to find which one can match our timeline and also our budget. Our timeline was really limited because we will only receive the keys to our new house in July. So that's only a month plus to get everything done. Most of the ID we went says that it is not possible to do it and some overly promise say it can be done just to make us sign up with them. But at the back of our mind, we know it is not possible to reno the entire house (resale house) in a month given the current pandemic situation. When we finally meet Haryati from The Alchemist Design and told her abt our timeline, she was also quite skeptic and did not want to over promise us. She said she will atleast need 3 months. However, what makes us decided to choose Haryati to be our ID was when she said and give us assurance that the major works can be done within 1 month so that we can shift in our things in the new house first. Thats what we really need, an assurance and a solution! And plus point, the qoutation matches our budget! True enough, the major works like the tilings are done just in time for us to shift in our things. Cut the story short, our house was in a moving in condition by early october! Although Haryati predicted that the house will be ready in september, there are some minor hiccups in between due to covid. But Haryati is very efficient and prompt in attending to the problem even though she was in the midst of her preparing for her wedding in September. Despite us being so "kanchiong" to get our house ready ASAP and pushy, Haryati remained composed and handle everything professionally. She never take the things we say to heart and definitely she knows how we felt. We are truely thankful for that! After the reno done, Haryati did a very thorough checks on the defects. She ensure that we check every single corner of the house, especially the carpentry works. All in all, Haryati is a very dedicated ID anyone would ever ask for. She is not pushy like some other IDs, she try her best to get what you want for your house and she is very prompt in her replies, even at 2am!! she is very efficient! And her Ideas are really brilliant! And definitely, alchemist design have the best qoutes that matches our budget compare to other 10 IDs we met! This i can vouch for! Prior to collecting our keys, we spoke to a a few IDs and decided to go with Jasmine as we thought she was really easy to speak to. And we're glad to have her as our ID as the entire renovation process was a breeze. Jasmine was very accommodating to many of our requests and would often advise us on various alternatives and solutions to our problems. She was also attentive, patient and quick in responding to us despite her busy schedule, which was something we really appreciated as it gave us a peace of mind that she's on top of our timeline. She was also able to help us build our home according to our vision and budget.

For a first timer, we barely had any clue about renovation. We got Alchemist from a recommendation of a friend and decided to book an appointment to enquire. The first time we meet our main ID Haziq along with Sophia and they went through all the planning for the whole house and by then it was already almost 3 hours sat down of planning. It was as late as 11pm and they came out with quotation which was fairly within our budget. We signed up on the spot knowing that they are very transparent with the prices and not pushy at all. Throughout the whole journey, the process was a smooth sailing, little hiccups were rectify quickly by them. Both Haziq and Sophia will always reply us fast even at late hours after midnight. Despite the pandemic situation, i can say that all the planning went as per timeline drafted. After having some people over to our house, many said its really affordable pricing for such renovation. Highly recommended!

Elly was the one that was assigned to us. She was quick to reply us and get back to us. With Elly’s help, we got the dream house that we envisioned. We weren’t sure who we wanted as our contractor and we went to quite a few. We wanted to be sure that the price was according to our budget. With everything that we need as well. Glad to have engaged The Alchemists Design for our first home. Our ID, Yilin has been very responsive throughout the whole period (even working till 1am) and have constantly tried her best to meet our requirements. Prices quoted to us was very reasonable as well for the quality of material we wanted, as compared to a few others we spoke to. When you need reno to be done for your new home, you would naturally arrange to meet a few IDs - to get their best quote, and more importantly - the most ideal vibe of their commitment to your requirements. Both could go horribly wrong becos some IDs chose not only increase their quotes during this period of time, they also take on too many renos in bid for revenue and as a result - neglect your requirements. Thankfully, we met Yilin from The Alchemists Design - who, not only sent us a fair quote, she was also (almost) 100% responsive to our texts and calls - even over weekends. When we decide to purchase an older house, I knew that we need to do alot of general works. Rewiring, replastering of the whole house and hacking of both toilets and existing outdated cornices were essential. Our budget however is limited. We saw the potential of the house with the existing curve architecture in the living room that my wife love so much and our ID Ivonne use that and explore on creating more opportunities for the rest of the house. For a 5 room old hdb, we were quoted almost double the price before. I was also very apprehensive bcoz of prior bad experience with an ID for our old house reno. Prior to this reno, we had a bad encounters with our previous reno 2 yrs ago . Pricing was not transparent, work was compromised & id promised to come back to do touch up within the 1 yr waranty bt did not act as promise. Before deciding to go with The Alchemist, ID Ivonne in particular, we had put a small deposit with another ID. Bt again dissapointed with the attitude of the ID , we decided to forgo the deposit & took our leap of faith with Ivonne. Even before commiting with any deposit, Ivonne listened to our ideas and came up with the concrete plan that works within our budget. She was open and easy going and is always there wif prompt replies . Whenever problems arise, she's quick to come up with contingent plans. Her proactiveness & great service is very impressive! We would also like to thank Kawi the electrical cum "everything that needed to be done" extraordinaire. He was there to the rescue when even the fridge person refuse to take responsibility to push in our fridge into the fitted carpentry. It was a snug fit! Thank you for the extras that u did , the installation of the 46kg hood , the drilling of acessories & even the last min tracklights that we needed for the wardrobe even after everything else was completed. We love our house now. From an old ,needed of a much tlc kind of house to a vibrant customised home just for our family. And within our budget!

In search for renovating my two house bathrooms, there were many options for renovation contractors but in the end, my wife and I chose The Alchemists Design. Besides looking around for renovation contractors both at physical stores and via online, we also did window shop for tiles at a major and well-established tiles seller. The day, awkwardly, the security guard asked whether we had a contractor tagging to us. When we replied no, he immediately suggested us to meet one ID who is inside the store with her customers. Even though we were puzzled with his suggestion, we just go ahead with the flow and to cut story short, Miss Haryati was very approachable (even though she is in the midst of handling her customers) in handing us her name card. Within a day or two after the very brief meet-up and follow-up text messages, she and her partner, Miss Shaleen, came to our house for site visit and a day later forwarded us a proposed quotation with our given budget. Simply put, there are 3 things that place The Alchemists Design is in line with other well-established renovation contractors: 1. Transparency – There are no hidden costs/charges. Terms are spelt out correctly. No hard-selling. All works are informed to us before the contractors commence the works. Timeline of both toilets works were also given to us. We were also updated with a 3D photo of our dream toilets after we have selected our tiles and toilet accessories. 2. Assurance – Given the immediate and tight schedule, we were kept updated on the progress of the renovation via a group WhatsApp chat. While some minor hiccups are inevitable, both Haryati and Shaleen always ensured works were rectified to our satisfaction. Both of them also frequently make visits to our site to not only supervise the workers but also inspect the quality of the works. 3. Professionalism – These ladies are very young but both are very dynamic, professional and responsive throughout the process. You will never have to worry about what is going on with your renovation. Never had a moment to worry regarding trust and confidence. They were warm, professional with even their workers and hardworking with great customer service.
