Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

A good Interior Designer must be able to identify what his/her clients' wants and needs, and not the designer's vision. Oak Health Chinese Medicine is pleased to have engaged Kachee and her team to be the Clinic's designer as she pays very close attention to what we desired. She plans well, and is always readily available. Kachee was able to offer solutions to most of our problems and it was truly an ease having her to be in-charged of our project.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

The best results come from good communication and a good working relationship between you and your renovator. A good renovator provides regular, if not daily, updates and is easy to get hold of if you have questions or concerns. You should be prepared to spend time going over drawings, monitoring the progress of your project, and discussing decisions with your renovator.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes! Lopez and his team and Quirky Haus has been amazing being part of our renovation journey. Lopez rendered us with excellent professionalism. He was patient & accommodative to help us work towards our dream home by giving us suggestions and feedbacks along the way. He is responsible, dedicated and it was definitely a joy working with him & his Quirky Haus team! I will definitely recommend Quirky Haus to my family and friends because they deserves the best and Quirky Haus certainly did not disappoint.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always know what you want! Instead of going to the ID for ideas, why not work out what constitutes to your dream home & work with your ID to achieve it. This way, the end result would be much more rewarding.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Lopez and the team at Quirky Haus are very approachable and easy to work with. Despite our very particular needs, including the construction of an additional room and a the very diverse personal preferences of our family members, the Quirky Haus team fulfilled all our requirements, all while maintaining great professionalism and humour. Before we moved in, the flat was dark, drab and messy. We have lived in this home for some years now, and the pictures above show how the renovation has helped us to settle in very comfortably. Everyday life has been eased by the team's attention to making the space suit our needs.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

The team at Quirky Haus is responsive and reliable. I'd definitely recommend working with them as they're good at listening and adapting the processes and outcomes of renovation to best suit your needs.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Kachee was very good in noting down our preferences & translating that into the design of our home. She gave us good advice on the design & layout, & I especially loved her recommendation in terms of the carpentry laminates, the design of the living room's TV feature wall/storage space, & the suggestion of the frosted glass bi-fold doors. Would highly recommend Quirky Haus to all homeowners who are willing to pay a slight premium for good quality service & workmanship!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do your own research online to find out your preferences & desired themes/designs before meeting an interior designer. Be realistic in setting a budget & renovation timeline.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Kachee is very hardworking and one can easily sense her passion for good design through her words and actions. She isn't afraid to say no to our ideas, but with good reason, and that to me shows that she is not just in this for the money but genuinely cares about getting her clients' homes right.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not rush into any decision, no matter how ideal it may seem at the moment. Be careful with tricky areas such as joints and openings as what works on paper may not be that smooth in real life.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Mr Lopez Lam is very attentive and open to my ideas and themes of how i want my house to be. He's very organized too and well-prepared whenever we came down to their office to plan the details. Mr Alex Yang, the owner of Quirky Haus Pte Ltd, is super awesome at making the whole planning of the renovation as stressed-free as possible, as we consulted them a couple of months after i gave birth! Both of them really made both me and my husband's experience on renovating our first house a fun journey! Super highly recommended! Good jobs Quirky Haus!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Have a concept/ideas in mind first before you find your Interior Designer. That way, you can make the whole experience smoother and definitely stressed-free!

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Trust is often the biggest concern these days with so many renovation contractors being scams. I know a couple of friends who had a nightmares dealing with their contractors resulting in losses and delays in the course of their renovation process. My dealing with Lopez/Alex have been very straight forward without compromising details. Instead of confusing the hell out of their clients, they have been very thoughtful when introducing us to the renovation lingo by making sure we understood what was being communicated in layman terms. This made the decision making process on our end easier. Our project manager Steven was also very attentive and accommodating despite us being picky at times. With that I'd say honesty when conducting their business is something I really liked about Quirky Haus.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is important to have a 2 way communication with you are involve in such a huge project. Being the client does not always give you the right to be an a**hole. (Feel free to edit that out) As clients, you will need to ensure that the expectations are being communicated early or before you sign on the contract so both parties can anticipate how the next following months working together would be like. You need to speak up if you are not happy about something and discuss with your ID as there is no renovation process that is flawless. As stressful as it is, one should enjoy the renovation process. What is the point of spending all that money and find no joy while doing it?

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Kachee is able to listen to our needs and design our house accordingly to fit our requests. As we have no idea what we want design initially, she guided and recommended us patiently.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is good to communicate with your Interior Designer and share with them your timeline and expectation so that there will be mutual understanding. We check the progress of our house every weekend so we are able to feedback to our Interior Designer. Hence, in the case where you found something that you do not like, it is easier to rectify things when they are detected earlier.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

From our first meeting with Lopez, he showed enthusiasm and sincerity in studying our floor plans, listening to what we wanted and providing his advice. During the renovation process, he gave updated us constantly on the progress, or any other hiccups which happened along the way. All in all, a responsible ID with good communication as well as creative ideas!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Chemistry between the ID and the homeowner is very important as the ID is responsible for transforming your ideas into reality. Decide on the theme that you want and work towards that. Do include carpentry fabrications just for the sake of it. Let the design work around your budget, and not the other way round.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Designer understood what I really wanted and did not make me spend unnecessary money on items that I do not need. Designer helped me more than her job by making trips to IKEA and several shops for furniture shopping. Designer was absolutely honest and down to earth. She totally respected my likings and choices.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Be realistic about expectations. Do not pressed by designers but to make your own decisions. Lay down the foundation of your house prior to furniture shopping. Do not conform to the norms and be bold to make your dream house came true.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Kachee is a very experienced designer and we love that she is able to provide us with functional and practical ideas without compromising on design. She and her team of project managers are proactive in managing the renovation process and our queries. Due to our busy work schedule and the fact that we just had a newborn, we were unable to monitor the renovation process as much as we like but we are very glad that Kachee and her team have constantly provided us with updates including pictures of the ongoing renovation, this was very helpful and it gave us assurance that everything is going well as planned and we have nothing to worry about. We also like that our queries and issues we raised were always answered and rectified promptly. Kachee has also made effort to accompany us on our furniture shopping trips and provided us with useful advice on the suitability of our choice of furniture from color co-ordination to material of the furniture.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

For homeowners who expects both quality of work and service, Quirky Haus is definately able to deliver the high standards as expected. Designers and project managers are very responsive and proactive in dealing with our queries. The timeline taken to complete the whole renovation works are reasonable considering that we have several ad-hoc request that were not originally planned and discuss, as such, we are happy that the team is able to accommodate these request without much delay.
