Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Ingrid was very patient and coordinated the reno very well. I was very specific with the design and have spent 3years planning prior to meeting her and explaining my idea. Ingrid executed everything well and even surprised me with more unique design ideas. The price quoted was also very competitive and her after sales was impeccable.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Plan in advance and have a clear mind of what you like and want to have. Start shopping and researching early even before you collect keys to avoid mistakes or preventable renovation errors. Hardwork and effort is the key to your dream home

patience and listen to our needs & budget. he proposed a couple of design ideas for us to choose. jo was engaging and very knowledgeable in his work. i have already recommended 2 other friends who have also engaged his services and they are happy too.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

compromise on design Vs budget but never compromise on materials and workmanship. Work within our means, plan earlier. cater additional budget for unexpected needs.

Sincere, accomodating & listens attentively to our renovation needs in making our dream home a reality. An experienced team which takes pride in their beautiful design & is meticulous on every minute details. Very well aware of their product knowledge & many a time were able to provide professional advices in terms of product (material) cost & its differences. This gave us an added-advantage to making wise decision when trying to work around a certain budget. The team also went the extra mile in ensuring that expected timeline are met, without compromising on quality of build. Most importantly for us, the great after sales support & always ready to render assistance, gives us the assurance & a piece of mind. By leaps & bounds, MMJ Design Loft has exceeded our expectation from the every aspects such as design, workmanship, trustworthiness & customer-service.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

The most important item at top of the list is to have a designer who listens to you. Any information, ideas & requirements which is conveyed across should then be interpreted correctly based on their experience & creativity. A renovation budget has to be determine but a need to be flexible with it when comes to deciding between type of concept, scope of work & even the quality of materials. A good & experience designer should be able to provide professional advice on the different options available. Responsiveness, customer service & after sales support from the interior designer is as important, in ensuring the trust in their product design.

Yes. I have been recommending this ID to my friends and colleagues and they have engaged their services and referred MMJ to their friends and family as well!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always trust words of mouth and referrals. There are too many dubious ID firms around. Too many news of renovation not completed and homeowners' hard earn money wasted.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

My ID Steph was able to correspond with me promptly via wats app & email with regards to my home renovation, I was away from SG during the course of my renovation. She provided me with advises & options that were available when it come to budgeting of the renovation, while not effecting he overall design of the house. She sent me updates of work done on a regular basis, I was at ease even though I was not around for the 2 months of renovation. She also carefully selected the furnitures that I should purchase so that i can save time running around The whole renovation was timely completed, in fact it was completed 2 weeks before the agreed timeline. I wanted the house to be ready before Christmas so that I could move into the new house when I'm back from my work trip. I was surprise that the pictures of my house on facebook was shared 4.1k times and with over 900 comments. Well done MMJ!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Trust your ID, as we are layman, they are in a better position to advise us on the works that should be done. plan your budget before hand and do what we can afford. do not rush on the works to be done.

The ID provided practical and useful design concept throughout the planning stage.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Quality of workmanship is good. Have not had any issues in the last 1 year + since we have shifted in. Overall timeline is a bit longer than others due to multiple PH during the renovation period. Steph and Joseph is generally responsive to any queries or any amendments required to the design and renovation details.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Would definitely recommend MMJ Design Loft as Joseph is highly competent in this area of work which I think is a key criteria for every one out there looking for an ID. After consulting several IDs with in-depth discussion, only Joseph was able to convince us that he will be able deliver what we wanted and importantly also within our budget. During the designing process, whatever questions we have thrown him along the way with regards to our house, he was able to match our ideas and complemented it with his design knowledge. He doesn't just accept what we wanted and delivered that, however, he tries his best to match what we wanted and proposed something better, which I think is the very reason why we needed an ID because we do not necessarily have that design sense or macroscopic view of home design. On top of that, I'm really bad at visualising (as opposed to my husband) how our home were to look like based on the discussions but Joseph would always patiently sketch out the parts and explained in detail whenever I'm lost in the process. As first-time home owners, we wanted our house to look fabulous and sometimes mislook the practical details but Joseph was there to throw in the practical side of things for us to consider which was critical for first-time home owners like us because we are FIRST-timers! (Which I think not every ID understood that) He was there to check on the " blind spots" and yet at the same time, not compromising on the overall design we have in mind. As an added bonus, when we were buying our furniture and other miscellaneous items (e.g: lamp, photo frames and etc) Joseph even allowed us to ask him if it matches the overall design of our house. I mean, he can choose not to, but he's so awesome he works round the clock for us and I believe similarly for his other clients too. We have been living in our home for more than a year now and still so very pleased with our decision to engage MMJ, definitely the best decision we have made in our reno journey!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It's always crucial to shortlist a few IDs and have a face-to-face discussion with them to find out more about what they have to offer. Those discussions with a few IDs should be able to give you a better sense on who to engage. If a particular ID/company isn't able to be punctual during meetings in prior discussions, be warned that they might not be able fulfill the subsequent big milestones. Personally heard enough horror stories on such IDs although it seems like such a minute detail such as, punctuality. All the best!

My wife Michelle and I engaged Joseph from MMJ Design Loft apart from other interior design firm because he was able to convince us that he is not only a confident guy but he also uphold utmost pride in his design and worksmanship through his previous projects with real life examples and experiences. He is the most precise designer and he leave no room for the slightest errors in terms of dimensions and measurements complimented with the highest quality of materials. This made our new home almost flawless to the eyes of many and I am confident to introduce my closest friends to MMJ Design Loft and Joseph as i know they will be in good hands. What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Know your budget and resources, brain storm for ideas, seek advice from other new home owners, maximise space, do not compare which quotes are cheaper for finalisation, do not compromise quality of materials for cheaper pricing. Take ownership and facilitate during renovation periods with your ID, its a joint effort and lastly ENJOY THE WHOLE PROCESS, building yor first home must be filled with JOY AND NOT DISAPPOINTMENTS AND STRESS!
