Yes, will recommend Lucas from Hue Concept. Lucas is very attentive to what clients want. We wanted to achieve quite a lot of things in a very short time line. But with proper planning and management, we really met our targeted date. Fee quote was really no frills or hidden costs. Their service after the house is completed is also very prompt.

I will advise homeowners to keep it simple. Besides design, it is important to maximise storage and utility. Practical, simple designs and durable finishes will allow the renovation to prolong its life.

I would recommend Lucas and Hue Concept. Lucas is a cheerful person and works very well with all the teams (electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry) and is able to obtain their cooperation to make flexible and practical changes that Lucas suggested which suit the layout of the house. Lucas with the support of Hue Concept accommodated our changes to the original design.

It would be useful to plan a few months ahead by going to expos, visiting show rooms, lighting shops etc to have an idea of the renovation desired and the costs involved.

yes - would recommend Lucas. He is accommodating and address defects and request for minor variation promptly . This is important consideration as the renovation progresses one may change your mind about the original design and most design co would discourage changes. He also balances client’s requirements with practical suggestions based on his experience. Overall, Hue Concept’s quote is reasonable and his service is good and attentive as he tries to see things from client’s perspective.

don’t go for too complicated design but be practical . Find a designer who can meet your needs and understand your requirements and Budget should not be the primary consideration so that it saves you more headache if the quality of material and workmanship is compromised due to cost reasons.

Sure. Lucas was very attentive to our needs and was flexible in adapting our home ideas into something that not only fit our aesthetics, but also worked around the spatial constraints that our 3-room flat gave us. He’s pleasant to work with and the pride in his work shows in his enthusiasm and a job well done. We are glad to have Lucas on board to realise and improve our vision of a home.

What we like about Lucas is his versatile style of designing, his easy-going personality, passion and dedication towards his job & customers. He is able to read his customers’ mind quickly and propose something that meet the customers’ needs without compromising on practicality aspect. He will share his personal views/thoughts about things that he sees may not be feasible to be incorporated into the design. He is accommodating (within reasonable boundaries) and also one who will go the extra mile to help his customers in their selection of furniture & fittings; arranging & receipt of furniture/home appliances including installation of curtains when his customers are not available (eg. On overseas vacation). He has great sense of colors too and we consulted him a lot on our selection of our furniture and wall paint for the entire house as well as soft furnishing.

Share your wishlist, if any, with your ID as early as possible. This will reduce the amount of time wastage on having to go back and forth between you and your ID. Establish good relationship with your ID. Once you have gained the confidence in him, trust him and have faith in him that he can deliver the products that you want at the end of the day. Try to avoid doing your house renovation towards end of the year as it is super peak period. If this cannot be avoided, then you have to be mentally prepared that there may be some scheduling hiccups along the way. Try not to question to much on the detailed project progress scheduling especially if the renovation work is done during peak period. Stay constant contact with your ID; let him know you need regular updates from him on the progress. Ultimately what we are looking for is happily receiving the end product that meets our expectation ie. A dream home!
