Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Our ID, Alvin, was very friendly and responsive to all our needs and requests. They were very responsible to help us settle all the details of the renovation and we felt assured that they would do a good job of the renovation.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Make sure that you get along with and work well with your ID. When you are choosing colours and surfaces like walls and floors, remember what you choose which will help you with selecting the furniture.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Anne is not someone who will quote you sky high just to close the deal. She will offer solutions at even lower costs yet achieving same results.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not rush into confirming an ID. Do your own research & ask for reviews. Don't burst your wallet, weigh options. Do not rush for completion as well.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, I will recommend this Interior Designer. first and foremost, this interior designer listen to me though some of the time I requested for silly thing. She'll then explained why it is not feasible/recommended to do so and proposed solution. On top of it, she work on my budget and stretch as much as possible. Finally, she keep her words. She finished up her work and done all the touch up nicely without argument. Nice work. :)

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

1. As my house is going thru HIP program, I had decided to let HDB to renovate my toilet thinking that I don't have to spend too much money at once (as PR I need to pay about SGD 25k for 2 toilet and changing main door) and workmanship wise, should be reasonable. I was totally wrong about it. The material they used was way lower grade then the 1 provided by my ID. They even damaged my newly renovated home and yet still keep arguing with me though in the end they did made a little effort to repair my vinyl floor. On top of that, the dust during the HIP was terrible. It was a horrible experience with HIP program. I would recommend to have it done at 1 go. 2. If you have kids, I recommend to moving into the house probably after 1 month of airing. I had horrible experience sending my 2 years old daughter to hospital most likely due to allergy. I'm not exactly sure from where since the doctor can't even tell but I think most likely is from paint.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Aaron is really an attentive person, he listens to our needs and requirements and come out with constructive suggestions that meets our budgetary requirement. I witnessed myself in the midst of renovation that he never compromise when it comes to quality, ensuring that he and his fellow workers deliver high quality result that home owners and himself can feel satisfied. This is some positive attributes that I personally feel many IDs are lacking, majority give in to their contractors rather than having a firm stand of what he wants.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

I would recommend future home owners to understand and decide on personal needs first, then look for the design they fancy. Having a house that looks good is not a bad thing, however it will be better to consider on practicability too as space is scarce in our current HDB layout. In order to have a quicker renovation, certain item / equipment that needs to be mounted onto carpentry needs to be purchased and delivered ASAP, this is to prevent any unnecessary alteration when the item is ready to be installed. Do not only focus on length and width and overlook the height of the furniture, this will prevent unnecessary alteration too.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Very detailed as in making the fittings usable instead of being just looking nice. Very open to owner's ideas and willing to incorporate into her drawing.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not try to rush into having work done within the time chart that ID plot as it is just an estimate. Work completion might delay due to holiday & waiting for materials. Have an ideal/ concept in mind, it will help ID to design according to your expectation.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. This interior designer is very professional, resourceful & patient. She has good knowledge & experience and offers interesting suggestions on designs and themes to her clients. She is responsible, hardworking, proactive and exercises initiative. Her coordination of the appointments with our various vendors like City Gas, the blinds company, Song Cho, aircond contractor, etc turned out very well. This gave us the time & peace to focus on our work in the office. In addition, she schedules her workers well to meet the client's deadlines. We are happy with the renovation as our new flat is modern and cosy.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is important to choose a renovation company that meets your budget, understands your requirements, has quality workmanship and delivers the expected results. Discussions, clear communication and being open with the designer are necessary. Visiting a few properties that were renovated by the renovation company is useful as you can gauge the quality and workmanship. It is helpful to see the sample renovation materials before making a decision. Responsiveness and cooperation from both the owner and the renovation company are important to meet the timeline.
