Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Daphne was very prompt to respond to our questions, even after the reno was completed. She provided a lot of good feedback during the designing phase and we are really glad we took her advice because the house turned out so wonderfully! :)

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always factor in more time for the renovation so that things can be done properly and it won’t be a rushed job. Also, factor in extra costs as there may be unforeseen expenses which will only surface during the work duration.

Daphne is very professional through out the whole renovation. She has given alot of suggestion for better enhancement. She has delivered the house earlier than expected and with good workmanship.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

To seek professional advice before deciding any renovation. Get reliable ID with good workmanship. Quick at resolving problems for you and able to deliver within your schedule.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Daphne is a Chinese speaking ID who has impressed us from the very start. As we do not drive, she took the initiative to pick us up from our home to the showroom in Choa Chu Kang. She also drove us to the various suppliers to get our home needs. During the past 4 consultations, she was very professional, honest and responsible, gave a lot of creative and sensible suggestion. Most important thing is - This was done with the best interest on cost saving for us. We still find it reasonable as she customized to our needs, not just adhering to a standard package.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

1) Plan to go 20%beyond the projected budget Most renovations go over budget. A safe margin to plan for is 20% over and if this would be a price you cannot afford, scale back the available budget. You don't want to end up with a half completed house because you can't afford to finish a kitchen and a bedroom.

2) Personal Loans are useful after the Reno loan runs out. There is a type of loan called a renovation loan or reno loan, which is typically used to fund a home renovation. Reno loans are often bundled with home loans: if you take a home loan from a bank, you might be offered the reno loan from the same bank at a super low rate.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Eric Ang is a good ID. Although he might be forgetful sometime due to a lot of project in his hand all over Singapore, he will do his best to suit your timing and your needs. Most important is he will try his best to meet your budget to suit your needs. After sales service, he and his team is also very prompt and will solve the problem as soon as possible which is very important.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Plan what you need or want including the small detail and write it down before you meet your ID so that when you meet them, you can discuss with them and after discussion and everything is solve, you can leave it to them to do the rest.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes I will recommend to friends. She understands her client and came up with the design which is close to 95% of my idea and budget with minor amendment in just one discussion. I need not be concern with the progress and status for she somehow manage it with a timely request for any action required from me. She listens and take my comments seriously most of the time.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It will be appropriate if you are a detailed and organized client to follow up closely with this designer in order to understand the work schedule and plan in order for you to plan ahead. She does take some time to response to your request but you can be sure things are happening according to the designs and schedule. Workmanship and quality are of superior grade and the after sales service is so far commendable though it did take some time.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Merina is very easy and pleasant to work with and makes the entire design and renovation process a breeze.The theme for our new condominium is modern contemporary and she is able to recommend the designs based on our taste and preference within 2 rounds of changes. She offers wise advice on the choice of material and design and also gave us ideas and tips on suitable furnishings. The finished work is very much to our liking and expectation and we were able to move in on schedule. She is also flexible on the changes required and touch up work were done on a timely fashion. I will strongly recommend Black Jack Interior to new home owners who is looking for a reliable one stop ID solution.

1. Quality of work. You can visit some of the finished projects done by ID to gauge the workmanship. 2. Responsiveness of the Interior Designer 3. Quick to resolve problems for you. 4. Able to delivery within your planned schedule 5. Creative designs

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Daphne is quite open to the ideas and she helps to put your ideas on paper or through animation. She was quite considerate on our budget and suggested the options which worked for us. After handover support was also quite nice and she helped to fix 1 or 2 minor issue post renovation without any hassles.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Keep your budget in mind while discussing any plans. It is always good to visit few IDs before finalizing to make sure you are getting competitive quotes. It is important to consider guarantee as well for the work you have considered.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

A patient ID, willing to listen and offer good ideas and recommendations, does not offer cookie-cutter design. Very responsive to questions as well, and offer solutions. Not the type of ID that would argue and firmly stand by his/her views during reno and after reno, she would listen then offer any corrections without any delay., if found out to be workers' fault. Big thumbs up!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Research, research, and research. If you do not have time to oversee everything, choose a reliable ID, go to multiple ID firms. Have a chat, and you will know from his/her words, body language, etc, who is the most sincere in getting your job. Inspect all contract details, add them in if necessary and ask all questions before signing the dotted line.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

They are very friendly and accommodative to your needs. They try their best to save cost for you, at the same time not compromising on the quality of their work. They are also willing to follow-up if there are any problems with any of the works. they also stick their stated timeline.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

I would advice future homeowners to be fully aware of their renovation details, and make sure everything is stated in black and white to prevent future complications with the designer. Do look out for designers who are willing to accommodate your needs and understand you, rather than enforce on you what they think is best.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, I would recommend Blackjack Interior. On top of the refreshing and relevant ideas, the rapport and relationship forged was paramount to ensuring that all parties got what they wanted. Both ID and Project Manager were very timely and efficient in their response time. They were both articulate and detailed with their explanation, and in their response to our queries. Works moved on schedule, with daily updates on our Whatsapp chat group. Mistakes was acknowledged by Project Manager, and rectified within a day or two. Project Manager and ID are always around during renovation period to check on the contractors and to ensure quality workmanship from the contractors.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Keep an open mind. IDs have the knowledge and capacity to understand what homeowners want. Be mindful of your limitations (space, budget, etc) and be realistic in your requests.
