Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Jonathan was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We felt most comfortable talking to him. He would listen to our requirement and give us suggestions. Throughout the renovation, he would update us, sending us pictures of the progress regularly. Upon completion of the works, for any defects that we found, he got his contractors to rectify it immediately. Jonathan is indeed a responsible person.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Please go through the quotation and clarify all doubts with the ID before signing. Best to do some homework so that you are on the same frequency with the ID, as it is your own house after all.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Min Li was very creative to proposed the Island Kitchen which marks the centrepiece of our home renovation (though my pictures are not doing justice to her design). A meticulous designer who would explain the technicalities to us during meetings. She accompanied us for the tiles selection which did not take too long for us to decide. Furthermore, she would go the extra mile to source some lighting accessories for us to suit our design and overall theme. Very responsive with our queries and update us promptly during the renovation process. She is often present on site to supervise the workers and provide us alternatives and options when we meet any issues.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do not be alarmed when there are some last minute changes and decisions to be made in a short period of time. There are many issues that may arise only during the renovation commences. For example, on the day of the L-box installation of our living room, we were notified that our ceiling isn't even and additional false ceiling is required. As such, do buffer for additional costs that may be reflected in the Variation Order. When deciding on optional add-ons, we categorised them under Functionality vs Aesthetics, since we were on a budget, we decided to only top up items which are functional and practical. Space planning is very important, so do inform your ID when you purchase furniture of large kitchen appliances (e.g. fridge and washing machine).
