HomeRenoGuru: How did you choose your interior design firm and designer?

Tracey: Actually, we went back to Luck Ann as repeat customers. They did a great job with our previous home, so we went straight back to them when we needed another renovation and didn’t bother shopping around.

Room to play was a priority!

HomeRenoGuru: Did you know what you wanted in your new home?

Eldon: I wanted a space for me and my brother to play around, and the home to be comfortable and homely.

Tracey: Our brief to Luck Ann was very clear in terms of design. We wanted a simple design but with lots of storage.

Eldon: I wanted a space for me and my brother to play around, and the home to be comfortable and homely.

HomeRenoGuru: How was the renovation process?

Tracey: Actually everything went very smoothly. We had a single point of contact – it is the owner of Luck Ann. He did a great job, actually.

Eldon: For my room, I wanted some changes to the original plan that I saw, which was closely based on my parents’ brief. I told the designer what I wanted, and the designer was very cooperative and adjusted the plans accordingly.

HomeRenoGuru: What do you love most about your home?

Tracey: I love almost everything in my home! There is a lot of storage space, especially in the master bedroom. The raised platform conceals many drawers, and the window seat opens up to reveal lots of cabinet space where we can keep cushions, bed linen and so on. Yet the whole look is so simple and clean.

Even the built-in wardrobes are space-saving. The mirror slides across to reveal more space inside.

In the dining room, we have an adjustable extension table with a hidden built-in cooktop, which is great for steamboat.

They have done a fantastic job, storage-wise.

Grandparents and house guests are able to sleep comfortably on the pull-out concealed bed in Eldon’s room

Eldon: I like my room because there’s a lot of space and storage. There’s even a concealed spare bed under my bed. When my grandparents and friends come here, they can sleep comfortably on this concealed bed.

HomeRenoGuru: Do you have any general advice for homeowners embarking on renovations”

Tracey: My advice to homeowners is to find a trustworthy company, like Luck Ann. And when you have found one, stick with them for future projects, like we did. The relationship is very important.

HomeRenoGuru: Would you recommend your ID firm and designer to other homeowners?

Tracey: Most definitely. Thanks to Luck Ann, we love our home!
