Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Thomas' quality service was the hallmark of his renovation delivery, as he consistently worked with us to ensure that our expectations of the project was clearly communicated, and he duly delivered with some aplomb. His acute sense of observing the organic environment of the house, till ensuring that the design totally takes into consideration of the limitations and perimeters of the house was the main reason we have a comfortable home today. Together with that, he is more than willing to work with the budget we have for the house, and continuously provides ideas to give us more options on how to shape our house. Our partnership in working on the house turned into friendship, as his earnest attitude at work and friendly yet honest disposition made the communication easy. He was by far, one of the best designers we have met, having gone through a dozen other designers before deciding on Thomas. It was a decision we felt was the best thing that happened to us for home building!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Totally throwing the responsibility of building a home to an ID/contractor would be nothing less than irresponsible, even when you have the dough to spend. Remember that it is important to choose an ID that you would be able to spend time communicating to, don't rush into the renovation timeline, try to understand from the contractors point of view on work timelines for various parts of the renovation, i.e. electrical arrangements, hacking and tiling, carpentry, etc. From there, you can plan a schedule that you do not feel to stifled, as it is for the case of your contractors.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Thomas is very meticulous and dedicated to helping his customers achieve their dream home. He gives practical suggestions to design elements and also give advices when we were selecting our furniture's and etc. Furthermore, he's very responsive and always answers to our queries promptly and update us on the progress of the renovation regularly. We were impressed by the professionalism shown by his team and himself. Overall, we were very happy with how our home turns out and so glad with our decision to engage Thom Signature as it was a fuss free experience.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Workmanship of furniture/finishing should be good, as you would not want your items falling apart after a few years. Plan out your budget well, as beside renovation, there are still furniture and misc items to purchase. It's important to find responsible interior designer as we have seen how one ID actually took many months to complete a home renovation with no updates unless prompt giving the homeowners so much problem.

The designer was very responsive with our enquiry. He’s like a call centre (reply to message promptly and not in rush to explain thing). He is also very detailed in checking the work done by his staff. More importantly, he will give suggestion to us from time to time to better the design

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Feel free to share your ideal dream home with Gallen, he will suggest to you the ideal home in different price range for your consideration. We have to be realistic with our budget, so take the most suitable one that won’t get your cash flow into trouble.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, Joy is quite an experience ID who will provide suggestions on the design/colour schemes. She follows up regularly with owners on the progress and ensures job is completed on time.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Quality workmanship, ability to complete within stipulated time period. Best to have an idea of your desired design prior so that the drafter can design accordingly.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, 1 of my friend's flat has already renovated by Thomas. Thomas is very passionate, devoted to his customers and projects. During the enquiry, he is the only contractor that bother to visit my flat[before any deal is finalized. He views and to understand what are my expectations. He shows professionalism, patient during the enquiry process. His quote is very detailed, precise [based on all what we have discussed]; and price is fairly reasonable. When the renovation works commenced, he visited my flat daily without fail. He will update me with the progress everyday; by sending pics via Whatsapps. He is responsive and very detailed person and has own high expectations of all the quality of works rendered. We communicate and compromise a lot during the renovation period. Thomas has made our dream home to reality. We are fortunate to have meet Thomas.

1. Know what are your own's expectations 2. Choose a few ID firms for comparison - in terms of sincere, commitment, services, price, quality workmanship 3. 2- way communication between ID/contractors & owners are essential and important. So is Compromising.

Yes, He has shown us his professionalism as a designer by giving us quality and practical advises to the design of our home. He supervises our renovation with minimal disturbance to us while we are working.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My advise to future homeowners are to take into consideration of maintainability while designing for the renovation of their home. Know the timeline of the renovation schedule and budget too.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

With over 5 years of work experience, Gallen is able to share with us the common renovation pitfalls and provide ID advice based on our budget and requirements. He is definitely not a pushy ID who is trying to have you install additional features, e.g. partition wall/ false ceiling. He is very responsive and remains contactable on his mobile at all times. Gallen also tried his best to show his previous work/WIP/final products to us so that we need not visualise the end result. The renovation process went very smoothly, except for some slight hiccups which are inevitable, and completed as planned. Gallen set our minds at ease with the religious onsite inspections and updates of our project as we know our house is in his good hands. His after-sales service is also remarkable as he remains concerned for our furniture installation. All in all, he is passionate about his work and doesn't over-promise and under-deliver, contrary to what we heard about other unpleasant ID's stories.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

At the planning stage, it is important to understand both of your partner and your needs/wants, agree on the requirements together and set an affordable budget. Future homeowners should be mindful to seek a balance between functionality and having an aesthetically pleasing home. Selecting the right ID is half the battle won in the renovation journey so take your time to assess and choose a suitable ID. Chemistry with the ID, ability to understand your requirements and work within the budget, track record based on feedback/reviews and portfolio are some pointers to consider. If time permits, talk to more IDs as you will learn more and benefit from the discussion with them. You may think everything is well thought out and planned but inevitably, changes will need to be made. A good ID will offer solutions to small problems and use his or her experience from past jobs to recommend what works best.

I would recommend Thomas from Thom Signature to future homeowners. My sister recommended me to Thom Signature Design as she told me that their workmanship are quality and service is outstanding

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My advise to future homeowners are to engage a responsible ID as renovation details are really a headache and if the ID is not responsible, its going to even cause you more headache.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Designer was patient, responsible, responsive, and had good head for details. Was able to retain a lot of information and knew what I was talking about whenever I called without prior notice. This means he had good retention of the details of his project without having to constantly refer to his notes. Good management of his sub-contractors. Good management of timeline. No delays. Good follow thru with rectification works which were minor. Available on the phone even after completion of contract. Homeowner did not require significant design changes.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Homeowner must take ownership of project and work closely with ID as there are many details to work out throughout the entire contract period. ID cannot be expected to know details of homeowner’s particular preferences.
