Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

No, not at all. It's totally a regretful choice. Poor post sales experience and disappointing expectation. Piecemeal jobs, even the subcontractors complain about the poor planning and multiple trips to do similar jobs.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Think twice before engaging their service. Overpromise and never finish up what are required to complete as discussed multiple times. Do not complete the payment until you are satisfy with their delivery.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Philip is a friendly easy-to-talk-to guy. As new homeowners, I'm lost in this renovation universe but Philip made it easy for us to understand whats going on from start to finish. Philip is not the pushy type of person but listens to our ideas and provides us cost saving ideas for the home. As I'm a shift worker i can't be there to see the progress of the renovation often but the trust i have in Philip made it easy and stress-free and i have no problems with the end results. Recommended!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Posh Living was my first and last Interior Designer i visited for quotation and engaged them on the spot. Do not visit more ID's and make yourself stressed out. Do not rush to finish the renovation as it might affect the workmanship.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Lucas was a dream to work with, efficient, fast and very detail oriented. From the beginning of our meeting to the handover of our keys, he was always there, answering our most demanding of questions. Lucas has a good eye for design too, assisting us in designing our dream home. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Lucas Chew as well as Posh Living Interior for their impeccable service rendered to us. It was truly a dream.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Research! lots and lots of research, do not choose an interior firm base on which is cheapest, instead look at reviews and comments from other home owners that have engaged their services, as we are all paying good money for our renovation, it makes perfect sense that we choose a company with good reputation and chemistry to work out what we envision for.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I would certainly recommend my ID, Anthony Kwan. He had done a wonderful job in seeing to the design and the actual renovation of our new home. He is very knowledgeable in his field and does not hesitate to share tips and advice with us. He was highly responsive to our needs and had been responsible in every way. Like all things in the world, perfection is impossible to achieve especially when it comes to renovation. Slight defects are present but Anthony irons out these issues speedily and keeps us abreast of all updates. If you are looking for a responsible and highly professional ID to alleviate your headache in building a new nest, look no further. He is definitely the man for it!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always ask questions and seek the opinions of your ID and others in the relevant field. Do sufficient research. It is part of the journey! In the course of the renovation, do visit the work site regularly to iron out any issues.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Vernice is very approachable and particular about our taste and preference. I am proud to say that our home is as beautiful as how we have visualized it to be. And all thanks to Vernice and Posh Living for making our dream home come true. There was no unnecessary pressure or stress. All went well and the house was handed over at the promised time. Vernice is a responsible, responsive ID who is particular about workmanship. Certain problems were faced after the handover, but were still settled diligently. Thank you Vernice! :)

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is important that there is a good relationship between the owners and the IDs as they carry the torch to translate the ideas into concrete designs. There should be no hesitation or boundaries to putting across what the owner feels and the ID should tactfully handle the request of the owner. In short, it should be a pleasant experience and not a stressful one. :)

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Definetely. The renovation process was smooth and hassle-free. We were overwhelming with the quality of their workmanship eventhough we were at a very tight timeline. Wilson and team kept us posted on the progress of work and of course there were times where works delayed for 1-3 days with valid reason but still completed on time. At the first meet up with Wilson, he being so quiet listened to us, we thought that he is just a Yes Man and do what was told. However, he proved us wrong when he presented his design concepts and ideas to us for the subsequent meet ups. Overall, we are satusfied with Posh living.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Set the right expectations between yourself and your ID to avoid miscommunations. I. E. Timeline of completion. Study the details stated in the quotation, and do some own research/read reviews before engage the ID.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

The design is simple yet modern and cozy. Its definitely the design that we had in mind especially most of the cabinets were enclosed which makes it very easy to maintain for working people like us.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do your research via Homerenoguru or other home Reno sites and read homeowners reviews and always discuss with your ID what are the design concept and what are the things that you like and don't so that it will be easier for your ID to provide the draft design to you during your next meet up but I would said you need to feel comfortable with your ID and he can understands what you really want for your home.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, definitely would recommend Alex Lee given that he was able to come up with a design that showcase his ability to fully understand his client's vision of their dream house. He is very engaging and his personality makes it easy for me to express my needs and demand (so getting a 9 is very high for my standard already). I was also amazed with the speed and quality of the renovation and am very happy with the results.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

You must be very comfortable with the Interior Designer/consultant from the start so that its easy for you to express your needs and wants. Another thing that impressed me also was that Alex provided a schedule, it was very useful as it provided a good guideline to what is being done at a certain time. I mentioned guideline, so of course some slight variation is expected. But it was really useful as it also helped me to co-ordinate the activities that were not part of the renovation.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I would like to thank Anthony for being so accomodating , helpful and always keep me informed of the renovation progress while I am at work. I always wanted a black and white design concept for my two comfort room and Anthony nailed it. It's simple yet elegant. Renovation timeline meets target and the renovation crew were very systematic. Kudos!!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Choose your designer that work well with you. The one who is willing to accomodate to your budget and always keep you informed of your renovation progress.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I met Anthony in February for a consultation. I met him again one or two days later, then one or two hours later we closed the deal. He had charisma and we had a connection. He was also very determined and prompt. We wanted a modern, simple Scandinavian design, with lots of whites and browns and a little bit of black. We wanted a home for the future, not just for the present, a house that was safe for the kids and easy to clean. Anthony was able to deliver on that. We also found the renovation process very fast, very efficient. Anthony was very accommodating. He said, “As a designer, you engage me – I do the job for you. And you’ll have less things to worry about, because you have your family, you have your work and so on.” He was very understanding. He practically updated us every single day. And he managed to complete the whole renovation within 1 month! I would recommend him because he's truly a good and understanding interior designer.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Always do your research on the interior design firms, whether through friends or through online platforms such as Facebook or HomeRenoGuru. Make sure they have good reviews and looks trustworthy. Next, make sure you get a good vibe when you meet the Interior Designer. IF at any point you feel something is wrong, trust your gut. Better safe than sorry.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. Shaun is a knowledgeable interior designer who managed to understand our needs and concerns before designing the house. He is a people's person and is very comfortable to work with, which is an asset vital in this industry. Shaun has spent many long sessions to discuss with us on the project and never failed to give his best at every meet up. We are delighted to have met Shaun to design our home and he has managed to deliver exactly what we had envisioned. Shaun was also always available when we needed to speak to him about anything. His creativity, dedication and passion has allowed for my husband and I to come back to a place that we are so comfortable in . Thank you, Shaun!

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

To compare prices across different Interior designers and read reviews online. Set aside time to meet up with different IDs and get quotations to compare. Ensure that ID provides a reasonable and feasible timeline and check occasionally that the ID is on task. Do not be afraid to speak up for your needs but do also be understanding and not demanding.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, I would definitely recommend my friends to Lucas. He is a very honest and responsible person who provides honest and valuable suggestions to me. He is also responsible and always keep me in the loop about the progress of the renovation. There were times where hiccups were faced and he always informed me on time with good suggestions.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do inform your designer if there is a tight time line for you to shift into your new house. Workout the schedule with your designer as the chances is that they are able to help to push the renovation faster. For my case, I had to shift in within 2 months as I had to transfer my son to his new school. Lucas managed to assist and expedite my renovation so that I can shift in on time.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I strongly recommend our interior designer Simon of Posh Living. He is very patient and professional in his approach. This is the second time that my husband and I engaged him as our interior designer and we have no regrets . He provided us with pragmatic ideas and suggestions for space planning and attended to our queries and feedback promptly. He is knowledgeable and had no qualms in explaining the dos and don'ts of design concepts. He had dedicated his time to accompany us to select lightings and wall tiles. The cost of renovation is good value for money.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Engaging a trustworthy interior design company is key and selecting a designer who can be relied upon is crucial. Homeowners need to put aside time to meet and discuss the renovation details such as design concepts, renovation timeline and the selection of materials with the designer, to ensure satisfaction in both service and the quality of materials. It is also good for homeowners to visit the renovation site to assess the workmanship quality.and work progress.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Henry is meticulous and always listens to our concerns and opinions. While he is patient in listening to us, he is also frank to let us know if our requests are feasible. He would always look out for the best solutions to overcome whatever constraints that surfaced during the renovation. Any imperfections to the work done were promptly rectified. Having an eye for detail, these were spotted by Henry even before we noticed them. it was an easy decision for us to engage Posh Living Interior Design as we believed that Henry and his team of designers are dedicated to deliver excellent services to their clients, without compromising on quality and style.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It's best to confirm on an ID firm at least 2-3 months prior to home key collection. It will be helpful if homeowners can do up a list of the renovation works and categorize them - 'must have' and 'good to have' . In the event that the quotation exceeds budget, it will be easier to omit non-essential items from the list. Homeowners should be frank with their IDs on their budget, and try to keep within it as far as possible. The decision to engage an ID firm should not be based on price solely. While many ID firms may offer competitive prices or 'too-good-to-be-true' price packages, always check with the ID firms on the actual items included in the quotation. It helps to compare pricing across different IDs - keeping it to not more than 5 firms. This is because different ID firms may have their unique selling point and having too many firms to compare with may not necessarily make the decision process any easier. To have an idea on the workmanship provided, visits to actual project sites would help. Looking at the promptness of the IDs/firm's response to inquiries (via email or text messages) could also give an idea of the responsiveness of the ID when he is working on your project.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

The open kitchen concept allows me to monitor the kids while cooking. Our master bedroom walk-in wardrobe hides the platform bed area creates more privacy. The vinyl flooring enhanced the 'woody' feel we want to achieve.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Shawn is very patient of with our requests. We were giving him so many ideas and helped us to make it a reality. Rare instances he tend to forget certain deadlines, so we will need to monitor as well. Other than that, everything is great and he responded to us promptly.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I like everything especially the kitchen and living room, it was exactly what I wanted. As for the flooring, it was originally tiles and it was difficult to clean. Henry then suggested to use washable laminate. I love the end result! Now I dont have to worry about cleaning up the gaps in between the tiles. Besides that I also like the glass display that Posh Living customised for me, it used to be a simple ikea cabinet and I told Henry how I would like it to be and he delivered. Same for the concealed TV console. I must say everything was delivered and done to satisfaction.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Henry delivered what he promosied and what we wanted. He was also generous in helping me with the small things for me without changing the quotation amount. Overall very good and satisfactory experience!
