Yes, I would recommend The Interior Place to our friends. The services rendered by Wayne and his team was outstanding. Made us feel comfortable and allowed us to express our ideas. They were also able to provide us with practical alternatives where necessary without compromising on the aesthetic appeal.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My advice to the future homeowners. Selecting an ID/Contractor requires patience and careful consideration. First timers must do their due diligence in speaking with various contractors and select someone they're comfortable with and able to trust your renovation to their hands.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

We have always enjoyed working with TIP since our parents' HDB apartment in 2006. We were expecting our twin girls and I was in a rather delicate situation. We were most delighted to be given tremendous peace of mind knowing that our project was in good hands. From conceptualization, to detailed planning, with wide varieties of materials we could choose from, they were creative, able to think outside the box with excellent attention to details and professional in every way. Vendors, service providers and suppliers in the industry have often spoken fondly of TIP which business is built upon integrity, quality and responsiveness. Most of all, they always kept to the timeline so that we can all move into our dream home. We have since made TIP our preferred choice for all our interior designing needs including our newest one at Bukit Timah. We know we are in good hands because they deliver, each time, every time.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Before choosing your interior designer, take a look at the leadership of the company. Are the bosses themselves in the ground? Do they make themselves available for you, their clients? We saw the dedication of Wayne & Candy Ng that moved us tremendously. Are you able to have the peace of mind of a hassle-free project when working with this interior designer? Timeline is the next important point to consider. Do they have a renovation schedule in place and if they do, do they keep to it so that you can move into your dream home as soon as possible? Do they have a wide spectrum and variety of materials to choose from? Can your designer think outside the box? Do they have excellent attention to details that while you have your ideals, they are in a position to advice if your ideals are viable and practical? Their integrity must not only come from the testimonies of their clients but vendors, service providers and suppliers within the industry as well. Next is fees. In our opinion, we have found TIP to be very competitive in their fees given the undaunted support and fine workmanship we are getting. Finally, while responsiveness in the course of the project is expected, knowing if your interior designer is here for the long term is when they continue to provide you with excellent after sale service after you have moved into your new home and continue to remain responsive in this aspect. These are very important considerations every future homeowner should think about when selecting their interior designer.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes I would recommend. My house project which they did, they go above and beyond. While they were not the cheapest price-wise, the cost is worth it in the end. The crew was clean, professional, on time, and didn't play games with adding extra costs. Aside from a couple of minor hiccups (all projects of this scale will have them), they far exceeded all of our expectations and would immediately turn to them if we were to have any additional renovation needs. The end result was rather impressive. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to get work done on their home.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My advice to future homeowners is to have a pleasant experience "to have a client and contractor working relationship", that made it easy for the planning stages on the job site. More than their ability to get the job done, is also the ID and their contractors' honestly and integrity. No job is without problems, but those problems allow you to see whether you are dealing with a reputable ID company.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes. What strikes me is that The Interior Place is a very customer focused company. Both Candy and Roy are very patient. They listen to our needs and are always there to advise on the possible options to achieve our dream home. We had to complete the renovation within a relatively tight timeline. We really appreciate Roy and Candy for being able to work with their carpenters and vendors efficiently to help us achieve our time lines. The planning and execution was very smooth and we did not have major problems during the renovation. Even when problems do occur, The Interior Place is always there to promptly resolve the issues and provide us with a satisfactory solution. The workmanship overall is good and we are very happy with the renovation. Even after we moved in, whenever we encounter problems, Candy and Roy are always very prompt in their follow up and ensured that our concerns are addressed adequately. The aftersales service is excellent and this gives us the peace of mind.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

It is important to focus not only on the design but to think through the details and functionality based on your needs and lifestyle. We worked very closely with our designer during the planning stage. Instead of leaving everything to the designer, we thought through our needs carefully and incorporate the little details into the design. This can be down to the measurement and types of shelving. It is also very helpful to look for ideas in magazines and web sites. When selecting a designer, do not rush into a decision. It is important to shop around and research on reliable interior designers. Speak to them to understand their style and assess whether you like their working style. It is also important to request for viewing to assess the quality of their workmanship and potentially understand the feedback from other home owners. Through these interactions, you will also get a sense on their responsiveness and service mindset. Do also read the work scope carefully and clarify to ensure that your expectations are fully covered.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

She gets the style that I want and provide very good after-sales services. This is the 3rd house that we renovated with her. When designing our living space, she is attentive and supportive on our requests. Even years after handing over the house, she still fixes all issues promptly

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Trust Candy to advise you on what's feasible and whats not. We tend to over design our home and sometimes the idea may not be feasible. However, Candy is able to bring out the style without compromising the essense of our style.
