Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Angelyn Wong and her assistant Pui Yan are very patient and accommodating to our design requests as we are very detail (do not settle for another designer even in the same company as the experience will defer). She resolved all issues and defects that arises during the renovation to our satisfaction despite of the tough restrictions during Covid-19 circuit breaker. Fast responses to our many queries during weekends as we are working during weekdays and excellent customer service throughout. We are especially happy with the Marble Gum Crystal polished homogenous floor tile and toilet renovation concealments.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

1. Try to renovate your home in early part of the year as the GST charges can be negotiable, too bad if you are later part of the year. 2. Don't fall for cheap price, ask in detail the materials model, composition and brand as the prices can vary a lot depending on the quality. 3. Look for subcontractors that supply and install the same materials to compare and negotiate the price down. 4. Source for your own lightings and toilet accessories as designer brought shops usually chop carrot price one. 5. Look around all the tile shops on your own first (leisurely) before you go with the designer to get their opinion on your chosen tiles.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Firstly, the company provides life time warranty and is accredited by CaseTrust. Though the interior designer assigned to us is new to the company and I would not say that she 100% knowledgeable towards house renovation, she is very responsible and hardworking. Most importantly, she is willing or always offer to do things which are out of her scope.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Set a theme for your house. Plan well where you would like all your electrical plugs place at. The quality of carpentry workmanship and know what is the material that will be using, especially the interior cabinets laminates.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Yes, I will recommend my ID to my friends in the future. As Bernard is a responsive and responsible ID. All renovation sure have some hiccups here and there, for example, paint colours, measurements and etc. but every time when I encounter problems, I just need to give a call to Bernard and he will help me to settle my issues. We are happy to him as our ID as we work closely to our timeline and with great workmanship

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My advice for future homeowners, price of the renovation is not the main thing to decide. Renovation company, ID plus their workmanship and their reputation in this line are all the things that we have to consider. As this is my 5th renovation, we are able to differentiate the service and the quality of work that we had come across. ID responsiveness is one of the main criteria when we chose a ID company. Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

1. The featured wall using Nippon Paint Momento paint is unique. 2. The bathroom was well designed even though the space was small. 3. The utility converted into a study room was pretty well thought out. 4. The bedrooms with romantic lighting installed enhance the warm-feeling inside. 5. The glass door separating the living room and kitchen makes the apartment look bug and spacious.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

My ID is the best!!! He took me shopping for lights, tiles, furniture and ensured the everything that went into the apartment matches the theme. He opened my eyes to the world of interior design and I had an enjoyable time renovating my place. His sub-contractors were also on of the best in the market. They understood my requirements and did up my place to perfection.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

I'd recommend Bernard of Rezt & Relax for his experience, ideas and creative execution. He gives real world advice and doesn't do it just to close the deal. I trust him enough to have him do my parents' home after that. Best of all, his personal assurance gives me a piece of mind. Hence he did my parents home as well.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Be realistic about your ideas, discuss the theme / ideas thoroughly with the ID and don't rush them through the job. Have a timeline for the project and avoid too many changes along the way. Pay attention to the little details, these imperfections will surface along the way. My laminate floor was put in before the concrete screed dried completely, hence the laminate panels started to warp in the first month of moving in. Had to redo the flooring for the 3 bedrooms.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

Bernard was accommodating to our views and requests, yet at the same time was able to provide suggestions that ensured the design of the house did not veer off track. He was able to build in a great deal of functionality to the house without compromising on the aesthetic quality. The attention to details was impressive, and the fact that Rezt and Relax had their own in-house carpentry section ensured that quality will never be compromised. Their life-time warranty also gave us peace of mind, knowing that any faults if any could be rectified fuss free. Bernard and Rezt and Relax did not just give us a house, they gave us a home

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Do your research before committing to any particular design firm. Check on past reviews on them before signing on the dotted line. More importantly, chemistry between homeowners and the designer must be There. No point in engaging a top notch firm if the designer is not able to "feel" what you want. During the renovation process, if it best to leave ample time for everything to fall in place. Never rush for things to be completed. Quality work takes time and effort. Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

He is practical in his designs and made adjustments and listen to our requirements before proposing his ideas. The recommendations of tiles and materials are also in line with our concept given and theme. With his years of experience and knowledge, we know we are in good hands. He also suggested what color scheme for our house so that it will be comfortable to live in.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Get ready your floorplan, ideas and theme you want for your house. Give ample timeline (E.g. 2 - 4 mths) for the renovation. Always be there to check on the carpentry works and tiling works so that adjustments still can be made before the final product is up.

Would you recommend this Interior Designer and why?

My favourite part of the home is the dining area. The dining area overlooks the sofa and TV as well as the entrance to my home and also the balcony. It is the space where my family spends the most time at daily. I am impressed by the stickering stencil done by Rezt & Relax.

What advice would you give to future homeowners?

Janice from Rezt & Relax has done a very good job in terms of taking the initiative and communicating very clearly her ideas after she heard what I intended to do with the home. Our renovation was completed on time and within my budget. Janice was also the one who suggested hacking away the top half of the wall of the utility room so that the living room looks more spacious.
