HDB 5 Room
Project Description

A 1980s HDB flat in the west region of singapore, was the perfect fit for a family of four with 2 working adults children, but the flat had gone through questionable renovations over the years and was missing a much-needed sense and touch of designs. The family turned to interior designer Aclester Lim of the local firm Hue Concept to help them complete the fitting outs. “They wanted to turn a 1410-square-foot flat—which had become enclosed at some point—into a space that show the occupant’s character,” Aclester says. The space, which is Squarish in shape was a perfect fit but needed a major overhaul followed by a big dose of design. “The plan was to create a livable, luxurious modern home,” says Aclester . The team at Hue concept achieved this by adding architectural trim, employing a single bold color, and installing plenty of storage. Here’s how Aclester transformed a lifeless space into a glamorous home.
